Do you allow caravans?No. Our planning allows for tents and campervans only. Trailer tents are also allowed, but please be aware the field is slightly sloping. A good pair of Chocks will fix this for you!

Will we be able to camp next to our friends?- All Non-Electric pitches are free pitch so you will be able to be next to your friends. - All Electric Pitches 99% of the time we will be able to put you together but please make sure you add clear notes to your booking. Or contact us so we can add these at a later date. - Mix of Electric and Non-Electric pitches, this is not always possible but we will do our best to place you together, however the electric pitches are surrounded by the non-electric free pitching area so you will never be far away. If you want more certainty, please book the same type of pitch.

Do you allow groups?Small groups of families/friends of no more than 6 pitches are allowed. These must be approved with the campsite management before booking and all members of the group must agree to our campsite group policy, this includes that the site is a quite after 10.30pm. We do not accept bookings for single sex groups. We are a family orientated site and want to ensure that all our guests enjoy their stay with us. If you want to discuss a group booking, then please get in touch.

Can I book an extra car / gazebo / person?Yes. An extra car is £10 per night. An extra adult is £10 per night and £5 per night for a child. On booking extras you might find that it costs the same to book an additional pitch. I know this seems a lot, but we want to keep the space in the field for the grass and the children and it allows us to cap the total number of people/cars on the site for your stay.

Can I have guests on site?Generally we do not allow visitors on site, any visitors must be agreed with campsite management before arrival. For information day guest fees are £5/person and guests are only allowed on site between 11am and 8pm. Any guests must register at reception as soon as they arrive.

How do we get to the site?Do not use your sat nav/postcode as it will take you to a place 3 miles away from the campsite entrance. Please use one of the following: SAT NAV - Please use the following coordinates for your Sat Nav 52°36'53.5"N 0°33'47.3"W GOOGLE MAPS - Please use the following link on Google Maps to find us - https://goo.gl/maps/DyyuRkdrn3J2 Then follow the signs to the campsite. Please pass this on to other members of your group not traveling with you!

What time do we have to leave the site on our day of departure?Check out is by 11am and you must have left your pitch and the site by this time.

What time can we arrive on site?Check in is after 2pm.

Can I pay for a late check out or early check in?Yes these are available on the day, but are subject to availability and we can not guarantee they will be available.

What are the facilities on site, are there toilets and showers?The facilities block is nearly new with lovely big showers, great for families with small children. There are lots of hooks to hang your things, a hair dryer and plenty of space inside. There is also a small kitchen area for washing up and a chest freezer for refreezing your ice blocks. Outside the kitchen is a campsite dishwasher, this cost £1.50 per wash and only takes 2-3mins. Lastly next to the facilities block is the campsite shop/reception, selling the basics, snacks and drinks and our own organically reared meat. Here you can also rent the firepits and buy wood.

Do you have a Chemical/Portable Toilet disposal point (Elsan)?Sorry we don’t have this facility on site as we are not on mains sewage and out own system is too sensitive. We have a very sensitive sewage treatment plant and we would ask you not to dispose of any portable toilet waste in our toilets even if does not have chemicals in it. It could damage the system and consequently the river.

How do you connect to an electric pitch?To connect to an electric hook-up, you will need an electric hook-up cable and plug. These are widely available online. They have a large 3 pin plug with round pins and are usually orange and blue.

Will you be running farm tours?Yes but only if we think we can do so safely and when time allows. We are sorry this can't be all the time, but we have animals and the farm to look after.

When is the Farm Shop open?Yes the farm shop will be open. Hours vary depending on time of year, staff and managing the farm. Opening hours will be on the door and there is a contact numer for out of hours.

What does the shop stock?The shop normally has a range of venison, lamb, pork and chicken in the freezer. We are also working hard in the butchery to ensure that there is a regular supply of fresh burgers and sausages in the shop. We also have hot drinks and stock basic such as milk, bread, eggs, bacon, drinks, snacks, and ice cream!

Does the butchery take orders in advance?Yes! You can order of meat from the farm in advance including, larger cuts of meat to cook over the fire. Larger cuts suitable to share include whole legs of lamb, butterflied legs of lamb, lamb shoulders and pork loins. If there are a few of you then a Whole Lambs or Spatchcock Chickens plus lots of other cuts can all be prepared on an Asado Cross. Please get in touch if you want some help and/or advice on what to choose and how to cook it over your campfire.

Where is the nearest supermarket?Stamford (5 miles away) has several supermarkets including, Waitrose, Morrison’s, Sainsburys, Aldi and Lidl. The villiage also has a great small shop for all basics you might need.

Can I get a supermarket delivery on site?Yes, but you must make sure they have directions and that you are on site to accept delivery, if you are not on site when they arrive, we will turn them away.

Where can I walk my dog?Please remember that dogs must be kept on a lead in the campsite and on the farm. You can walk your dog along the unadopted road at the very top of the hill as this is normally quiet (there are cars though so take care). There are several public foot paths nearby, please ask at the shop for more information. There is also a map by the facilities block. If you want to let your dog run off lead, then Sykes Lane car park at Rutland water has a dedicated enclosed dog walking area where dogs can be let off the lead. There is also a park for the kids to play.

Can I book a firepit for my stay?No need to book. We have lots of firepits available for hire which can be picked up from the shop when you arrive (£5 small or £10 large) all the fire pits have a grill if you would like to BBQ.

Can I bring my own firepit or BBQ?Yes as long as they are off the ground and don't damage the grass.

Do you sell wood on site?Yes bags of kiln dried logs which are available to buy in the shop.

Can I bring my own wood?Yes providing it is well seasoned, kiln dried and untreated if not it may create excessive smoke. Please note you may be asked to put out a fire that is causing excessive smoke and is bothering other campers.
